About A visit to the wallpaper shop

In this workshop we will study the symmetry of wallpaper. We investigate all possibilities, how to recognise the different patterns, and how to make them yourself.

About Raf Bocklandt

Raf Bocklandt teaches algebra and geometry at the University of Amsterdam. He obtained a PhD at the University of Antwerp and worked for several years at Newcastle University in the UK.
Raf has a passion for symmetry, patterns and puzzles. On lazy Sunday afternoons he likes to cut out, fold and glue paper polyhedrons with his children.
